Live Traffic NSW provides enhanced traffic information; giving you up-to-the minute news of incidents and conditions that affect your journey.
Our aim is to help motorists make the best possible travel decisions that will, in turn, contribute to the safe and efficient management of our roads.
The Transport Management Centre (TMC) monitors and manages the 18,000km NSW State road network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Operating 24-hours a day, this telephone service generates text-to-speech information on traffic incidents such as vehicle accidents, road closures, major roadworks and special events. There is also an option to talk to an operator. In 2009 the 132 701 line serviced 183,516 calls.
Every year, almost 200,000 people call this dedicated line to report traffic incidents. These reports are incredibly valuable to the TMC and around 20 percent of incident alerts on our Traffic Information line originate from public reports.
